Questions About Your Visit
If you are unable to attend your doctor's appointment, we kindly ask you to cancel it at least 24 hours in advance. If your appointment is on a Monday, please send a cancellation email to info@notfall3.ch by the preceding Sunday.
If you fail to appear without timely cancellation, we will unfortunately have to charge you CHF 100.00. We thank you for your understanding.
Please bring your health insurance card with you to each visit. For patients without national health insurance, the consultation will be charged in cash or by credit card after the appointment.
Additionally, we kindly ask you to bring an official identification document (e.g., identity card, passport, etc.) with you for your first visit.

When should I see a doctor? / What symptoms require a doctor's visit?
Serious symptoms such as persistent pain, sudden shortness of breath, or fainting require immediate medical evaluation. If your general condition has significantly worsened, dial the emergency number of the canton.
I need psychological support – what is the best way to proceed?
For psychological or psychiatric support, we recommend scheduling an appointment with your general practitioner. Together, you can determine which psychiatrist or therapist is best suited to your needs.
Is a blood test possible without a doctor's prescription?
A blood test generally requires a medical prescription, which is often issued after a prior consultation with a doctor. In certain cases, this may be waived.
How long does it take for all the laboratory results of a blood test to be available?
A blood analysis usually takes 2 to 3 days. Afterwards, you will discuss the results with your attending physician either in person or over the phone. In urgent cases, you will be informed promptly by the professional staff.
What to do if a medication prescription has expired?
If your prescription has expired, please contact your doctor's office by phone. They will check if a new prescription can be issued to ensure the continuation of your treatment.

Represented Specialties
The Zurich 3 General and Emergency Practice was founded in 2008 by Dr. med. Dr. sc. nat. Kälin at Albisriederplatz.
Until early 2024, the practice was exclusively led by Dr. med. Dr. sc. nat. Kälin. In May 2024, Dr. med. Eisenring joined the management team.
Currently, the Notfall 3 Medical Center in Zurich employs a team of 14 professionals, including 7 to 8 doctors, 5 medical practice assistants (MPAs), one trainee, and one employee in accounting. The practice continues to experience steady growth.
The practice combines expertise in neurosurgery, surgery, and internal medicine.
