We thank Dr. Martin Vanečko for his outstanding professional commitment, humanity, and tireless dedication from January to December 2025. His journey with us was marked by impressive professional growth, exceptional teamwork, and a deep passion for medicine. During his year with us, Dr. Vanečko set high standards at Notfall Zürich 3 as a resident physician in general medicine. Thanks to his language skills in German, English, Slovak, and Czech, he was able to build bridges effortlessly and provide competent care to patients from a wide range of backgrounds. His professional interests were broad: Dear Martin, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the enriching time you spent with us. Our doctor, M. Vieira, will be available at our practice on a fixed schedule starting in January 2026. Her consultation hours will be on Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. We kindly ask you to plan your appointments and visits accordingly. On November 24th, Dr. Max Kälin, MD, PhD, delivered a lecture entitled “Fundamental Constants, Neurons, and Cognition” at the Natural Science Society of Zurich (ngzh). Fundamental Constants, Neurons, and Cognition Quantitatively, the neuron lies logarithmically at the midpoint of the spatial limits of observation: the Planck length on the smaller side and the particle horizon, the boundary of the observable universe, on the larger side. This quantitative relationship links fundamental constants and neurons, and vice versa. Human cognitive ability is inconceivable without the evolution of life. This, in turn, depends on stable biological molecules, which could not exist if the fundamental constants did not have their current values ​​(the anthropic principle). In short, no neurons, no fundamental constants; no fundamental constants, no neurons. The ouroboros of antiquity, the snake biting its own tail, comes to mind. From 15.10.2025, our practice will once again be offering the annual flu vaccination and the Comirnaty Covid vaccination. We especially recommend vaccination for older adults, people with chronic conditions, pregnant women, and anyone who has frequent contact with others. More time for your health – now with extra weekend flexibility! Notfall Zürich 3 is making it easier to see a doctor when it suits you. We now offer a limited number of (virtual) consultations on Saturday afternoons and even on Sundays in addition to our popular usual Saturday hours (10 am – 2 pm),  Appointments are subject to availability and can be booked quickly and easily online or by phone. That means you can receive medical care on weekends too – convenient, reliable, and close to home.

Modern technology for your health: we are switching to Axenita. In order to continue offering our patients the best possible medical care in the future, we have taken a major step toward digitalization and data security: We have switched all our practice software to AxonLab’s Axenita and completely modernized our hardware. What does this mean for you? With the new web-based software solution and the latest hardware, we are not only working more efficiently, but can also: A step into the future Axenita offers us a modern, networked platform for all medical documentation, scheduling, billing, and communication. Our practice pharmacy remains approved for another 10 years! On July 29, 2025, our practice was inspected by the cantonal therapeutic products control authority – with excellent results:We have met all requirements and are permitted to continue operating our practice pharmacy and dispensing medication and medical devices directly for another ten years. This approval confirms our high quality and safety standards and enables us to continue to provide you with the necessary remedies directly on site – quickly, professionally, and personally. A big thank you to our dedicated team, who made this success possible with great care and professionalism! We remain fully committed to your health in the future.

Completion of Four Continuing Education Modules in Research Ethics. In July 2025, Mr Martin Vanecko, staff member at Notfall Zürich 3, successfully completed four modules of the international continuing education programme TRREE – Training and Resources in Research Ethics Evaluation. This programme provides both foundational and advanced knowledge in the ethical evaluation of biomedical research, in accordance with internationally recognised guidelines and standards. The content of the training is directly relevant to ethical decision-making processes in clinical practice, as well as in scientific and academic contexts. It contributes to ensuring high-quality, ethically sound, and responsible professional conduct.

Our medical center is officially recognized as a training institution for addiction disorders. The Swiss Society of Addiction Medicine (SSAM) has officially recognized the Notfall 3 Medical Center as a training facility in the field of addiction disorders. After a thorough review by the Education and Examination Commission of the Skills Program, the SSAM confirmed that Notfall 3 meets all necessary criteria. This recognition highlights the important work of the clinic in the field of addiction medicine and strengthens its role in the education of future professionals. A significant step for Notfall 3 – and a benefit for addiction care in Switzerland.
